Testamonial PGK Lynch
|
 On Sunday April 26th our council held a testimonial BBQ to honor Past Grand Ed Lynch for his years of faithful service and accomplishments. The BBQ was held at our council hall and many of his friends and family were able to attend this event. Along with Ed and his family, the BBQ was attended by dignitaries, faithful members and their families.
I would like to thank the members of the testimonial committe for the work they put into organizing this day. Thanks to Frank Cosenza, Hank McCann, Rob Taffe and Maryann Hommel for their cooking expertise. Special thanks to the representatives of the Nassau and State Chapter for their presence and the presentations they made. Pictures from the BBQ can be seen on our web site.
Once again, thank you to Ed, his family and everyone who was able to make the BBQ.

3 Degree Exemplification
|
 On February 27th, 4 members of our council were welcomed to full Knighthood. The exemplification ceremony was held at the New Hyde Park Council. Please join us as we congratulate new Third degree brothers. Steve Lampa, Patrick Maguire, Michael Morales and Bob Reed. Msgr. Cass Council Annual Oldies Dance
|
 On Friday February 13th over ONE HUNDRED of our Brother Knights and their friends attended the Msgr. Cass Council Annual Oldies Dance. Good Music provided by The New Yorkers along with quality food and time with friends made this an evening that will not soon be forgotten. Many people spent the entire night on the dance floor.
We cannot thank our Brother Knight, Bobby Daly, enough for all the hard work he put into organizing this event. The amount of fun everyone had is a testament to his hard work.

Msgr. Cass Council Basketball Trip
|
On Sunday February 8th almost 50 Brother Knights, their families and friends traveled to Madison Square Garden to see St Johns take on Louisvile in a college basketball matchup.
Unfortunately for the St Johns fans in attendance, they were soundly defeated by Louisville 60 to 47. Regardless of the score everyone who attended had a great time.
Special thanks to Brother Knights Ed Franke and SK Tim Robinson Jr for organizing this event.

Santa Visits the Council
|
 On Saturday December 20th Santa Claus paid a visit to the Council Hall. Over 50 children and family members of our brother Knights were in attendence. Everything was going smoothly until Santa arrived on the roof and realized that the council hall does not have a chimney with a fireplace.
Some quick thinking saved the day, a phone call to the LBFD led to the fire department dispatching a ladder truck to help get Santa off the roof. Their quick actions saved the day and a good time was had by all.
Special thanks to the Long Beach Fire Department and all those who made this day a success.
